Tigers eye is a member of the Chalcedony mineral class family which has a silky luster and an opaque transparency. Tiger’s Eye is commonly a metamorphic rock with shades of golden yellows to brown. The color in the Tiger's Eye family is from yellow ( tiger's eye), red (ox eye) and blue (hawk's eye). Tiger’s Eye has an unique optical phenomenon known as chatoyancy. Chatoyancy is also also referred to as the cat’s eye effect.
